After giving it some thought I considered that I must have been missing something. I decided to look into it and find out what the dolls actually are and why people might be interested in them.
I learned that the dolls are handmade and custom made with details like faces, body shapes, eye colors and clothing. They’ve been created mainly for adult entertainment, not for children, since they are quite expensive. This made me feel better although I was still having difficulty understanding why people might invest so much money in a lolicon doll.
So I did some more research and read up about them. What I found out was that people who purchase the dolls do so for a variety of reasons. Some people enjoy collecting the dolls as art pieces as the details are so intricate and well made. Others might want to use them as a figure to dress up and take photos of. Despite the fact that the dolls’ looks and even parts of them can be customized to the owner’s personal preferences, I still couldn’t understand why someone would purchase them just for sex.
